Muay Thai, known as 'The Art of Eight Limbs,' is the national sport of Thailand and widely regarded as the most effective striking martial art. At Chop MMA, you'll learn authentic Muay Thai from Coach Diego Ramirez, a former champion at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.
Classes begin with traditional Thai warm-ups and shadow boxing, followed by pad work with partners, bag rounds, and technical drilling. Advanced students participate in controlled sparring sessions. Coach Diego emphasizes proper technique and respect for the art's traditions while adapting training methods for Western athletes.
Our Muay Thai program produces well-rounded strikers who can compete in kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA. Several of our students have competed professionally, while many more train simply for the incredible workout and the confidence that comes from knowing you can defend yourself.
